RESPIRE 2024 - THE ANNUAL ACADEMIC SESSIONS OF SRI LANKA COLLEGE OF PULMONOLOGISTS.

 

The RESPIRE 2024 annual academic sessions organized by the Sri Lanka College of Pulmonologists took place on the 19th and 20th of February. This event featured a diverse program consisting of 12 symposiums covering various aspects of pulmonology, such as radiology, respiratory infections, airway diseases, pediatric pulmonology, pleural diseases, interstitial lung diseases (ILD), oncology, critical care and ventilation, and sleep disorders. Additionally, four guest lectures and the breakfast capsule talks were delivered by foreign speakers, enriching the knowledge base of attendees. The sessions included engaging case discussions and panel discussions, fostering interactive learning and professional exchange. Furthermore, the event recognized excellence in research through the selection of winners for oral and poster presentations. Overall, RESPIRE 2024 provided a platform for pulmonologists to enhance their expertise, exchange insights, and celebrate advancements in the field
